Lorraine Ferro

Instructor, Lorraine Ferro is an award winning singer, songwriter and performance/acting coach from New York City. She has performed both onstage and in the studio with artists such as CeCe Winans and Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple and Blackmore’s Night. In addition to several multi-platinum hits, she has also earned a Dove Award for her songs “Adonai” (recorded by Avalon) and “Stand” (recorded by Susan Ashton). An industry professional for many years, she has been featured on both television and radio. In addition to her own music, she also produces for other artists. A consummate professional, Lorraine’s honesty, depth and professionalism encourage students to move up to “the next level” in their art.

Jonathan Britt
Improvisational Jazz, Drums

Instructor Jonathan Britt is passionate about music making and is committed to releasing the creative and artistic expression of music in others. As a child he fostered his passion for music by studying piano, voice, saxophone and drums. He began formal studies in jazz improvisation in high school. Jonathan earned a B.A. in Music from Westminster Choir College. As a performer in both the Westminster Choir and the Westminster Symphonic Choir he performed regularly with both the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic. He has additionally sung for operas and choral concerts at Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston, SC.

He co-founded Fazed Visions, a jazz group that performed both publicly and privately throughout central and northern New Jersey. Additionally, he has performed as a pit percussionist for several musicals. Jonathan has also done studio/recording work for producers David Ivory (Erykah Badu, the Roots, Silvertide) and Steve LaFashia (Omnisoul, Peper’s Ghost, Jealousy Curve).

He currently performs as a classical singer, freelance jazz drummer/percussionist, private drum instructor and K-12 grade music teacher. He continually inspires students by exploring the beauty of music in its many facets. Students should bring a Real Book (any edition) to the workshops. Private Instruction - Workshops

Ian McGlynn

Piano

Instructor Ian McGlynn is an accomplished and well-educated musician who is committed to the musical instruction of others. His degree in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music combined with his experiene as a performer and recording artist provide students with the opportunity to develop musically in a genuine manner.

Ian draws instruction out if students naturally, using the enjoyment and love of music to motivate students and encourage learning. His style of instruction is relational, fostering confidence and self-esteem in learners. His ability and willingness to treat students as individuals allows him to customize instruction, resulting in artists who develop a lifelong love of music together with increased musical proficiency.

Andrew Tremper

Audio Engineering

Instructor Andrew Tremper has been actively involved in engineering live sound and recordings for ten years. His experiences include providing equipment and engineering services for Gravity concerts as well as engineering shows for a number of bands in the NJ/NY area. Additionally, Andrew has provided recording services for local bands at his studio in Warren, NJ. Workshops

Marc D'Agusto

Visual Arts: Drawing, Painting Scultpure, Computer Graphics

Instructor Marc D’Agusto is a dedicated career artist and teacher. His experience encompasses computer graphics, illustration in addition to the fine arts of drawing, painting and sculpting. He has over 15 years of experience as a graphic designer, art director, web designer and corporate educator with various organizations in New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia. He has additionally continued to engage his muse as a fine artist for 20 years.

Marc, the founder of Gravity, is the director of a private school art program while also teaching at the secondary school level. He motivates, challenges and nurtures students to develop the artistic talents that may be unexplored. Marc is passionate about fostering students’ abilities to see the world as it is while exploring how it is perceived. He is gifted in unleashing individuals’ personalities in their art, encouraging creativity through the exploration of their worlds. Materials not included $15 Studio fee

Alexa Cuozzo

Youth Visual Arts: Ages 6-13

Instructor Alexa Cuozzo has two great passions: arts and helping children discover their creativity. She holds her B.A. in Graphic Design and Photography from Messiah College. She is also a NJ State certified art instructor for grades K-12. She has an array of professional experience, including fabric design, graphic design, photography, drawing and painting. Alexa has developed the Early Art and Elementary Art programs at the school at which she currently teaches.

Claudine Dotzman

Creative Writing

Instructor Claudine Dotzman has dedicated her life to the study and artistry of literature in both English and Spanish. She holds degrees in literature and language in both Spanish and English from Binghamton University and Columbia University. She has published short stories, poetry and short biographical pieces. Her translations of the works of Mexican poet, Jaime Sabines, were included in Twentieth Century Latin American Poetry: A Bilingual Anthology (ed. Stephen Tapscott). Claudine teaches high school World Languages and Literature in Somerset, NJ. She is currently writing her first novel.

Michael Rhett
Theater Arts, Acting

Instructor Michael Rhett has been a professional actor since graduating with a BA in both Theater and Communications from Muhlenberg College. He is currently a Masters candidate in Theater Studies at Montclair State University.

Michael has taught high school theater in Piscataway, NJ and most recently directed The Crucible. He has appeared in numerous stage productions as well as featured in independent films. He also has a role on an upcoming television pilot entitled The Memoirs of Austin Driscoll.

Drew McCulley

Improvisational Comedy

Instructor Drew McCulley has been performing improvisational comedy for a decade and has been teaching it for the past four years. Drew first immersed himself in improv when he joined the Vanderprov comedy troupe in Grand Rapids, MI. Upon completion of his degree in Speech Arts and Dramatics from Hope College he studied in New York at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. In 2002, he founded the Cow Tippers Improv Troupe in Washington, NJ. Drew teaches high school history and drama in Somerset, NJ and performs occasionally with the Cow Tippers. Last December he produced his first original play, a fast-paced satire of the twentieth century presidents entitled The Presidential Express.
